Read what some of our TAG parents had to say!
“The children in your program walk a little taller and are quicker to raise their hands in class.”
Principal Ray Gonzalez
Dear Willie, Lynn and the whole TAG team, BRAVO for an amazing show. Laughed, danced and enjoyed this awesome production from the beginning to the end. I am truly in love with TAG. Thank you.
The Procino Family
“Dear Willie, Thank you for helping me in drama. You’ve made me want to sing louder than I want to. I’m not scared anymore of singing in front of strangers. Thanks alot!”
Margaret
2025 - Hi Liv, Emersen, Lynn - let me say that it is so impressive how coordinated, informative, and quick your responses were - my best attempt at an appreciative compliment. 😘 Very refreshing. The information that you provided was awesome as mentioned and Katherine now has a good way to get things going… Thanks for your time. Much appreciated. Thank you! New TAG Dad
2024 -So many people ask me about my daughters and their love for the theater and those voices. My daughters were super shy but loved to perform. During COVID one of the only places that I could find that could safely offer this, was Willie Wilson. His “Theater Arts Group” popped up on my timeline and he had just posted that he had 2 spots left for auditions for the Wizard of Oz. I didn’t really know him and his amazing wife Lynn, but I reached out and was instructed how the girls could go about auditioning. So that day with a karaoke machine in my kitchen we recorded 2 audition videos. My daughter’s later learned that they were cast as Dorothy and Miss Gulch. That began what would now become what they are applying to study in college. The reason for this super long post is because I wanted to let any moms or dads out there searching for a program that is fair, inclusive and absolutely amazing I highly recommend you check them out at WIlsonTAG.com. They gave my girls so much more than just an outlet. They were allowed to explore acting, directing, songwriting and let all of those creative juices flow. Not to mention that they met their best friends on the earth while being a part of this group. Oh and also!!!! He produced a full length remake of “A Chorus Line” which was in theaters and we got to see our girls on the big screen!!! I could go on for days about how incredible his theater program is but their summer program registration opens January 1st and most shows will be sold out before the 30 minute mark! My girls have aged out of his program but they will never forget their home!
2024 - ELF - Elf was fantastic! Hudson had such a great time being in this show and man did we enjoy watching it. We can’t begin to express how life changing being in these shows has been for Hudson. We love TAG and are sooooo excited to add another kid to the mix (and hopefully one of Hudson’s best friends too!). Have a wonderful holiday! See you next year :)
2024 - GREASE - Congrats on six amazing shows. Grease is definitely a crowd, favorite and every single actor shined. Maddie and the staff did an incredible job. I think every parent and child got misty-eyed when Willie mentioned that TAG is a family and a place for every kid to feel like they fit in. It’s hard enough being a kid these days, particularly during the middle school years. Declan has always had a passion for music. While many of the TAG kids end up studying something in the performing arts field, Declan has known since he was about seven years old and he wants to be an attorney. TAG has contributed greatly to his public speaking and confidence skills. His passion for the arts has made him very interested in entertainment/sports law and he would love the opportunity to direct a production in a few years. Willie, you were Declan’s man when he had absolutely no positive male role models in his life and he still looks up to you so much. One of his favorite memories was when you asked him to go with you to get the pizzas during Moana. He said that you really cared about what he had to say and were really proud when Declan told you he’s an honors student. Willie, you deserve that kindness award and 100 more. You have a heart of gold and it is appreciated! Mama Lynn, you are incredible and my first TAG friend. Trish, Declan worships you, and you have given him so much skill and confidence with his singing. Declan loves you all and thank you for giving him a safe and happy place. He can’t wait to help out with Little Mermaid and it’s unbelievable that “fun size” is now one of the TAG big kids. He loves to help and as you know, you really only need to tell him once how to do something. We love and appreciate you all! Jenna, Declan and Grammy
2024 - GREASE - Dear Willie and Lynn, Since Grease ended, I’ve had some opportunities to reflect on my last TAG show, and the years I’ve spent with TAG. The bittersweetness of my last show ending has settled in, leaving me with trails of sadness and nostalgia. The past 3 years with TAG have helped me change and grow so much as a performer and person. Also, I’ve met some of my best and closest friends through TAG, and those friendships hold a special place in my heart. Joining TAG has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. From the moment I started Mama Mia, and to my final bow in Grease, I continued to grow and develop as a performer. The lessons and confidence that I’ve gained from TAG are some things that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Working with all these amazing and talented performers forced me to become a better performer, I worked harder than I ever have before for musical theater. When I first joined TAG, I fully expected to grow as a performer, which I did. But what I didn’t expect, was to form some of the strongest bonds I’ve ever had. Because of the dedication you put into the TAG environment, you’ve created a safe space for me and the other campers where we can be ourselves and be with people who appreciate us for who we are. The connections I’ve made at TAG are truly special, and the bonds I’ve made have made my experience with TAG unforgettable. I just wanted to say thank you again for providing me and so many other people with this wonderful experience. I can’t wait to see where my future with musical theater will go, but no matter where I go I will always remember my incredible experience with TAG. Love, Sofia
2024 - LITTLE MERMAID - Thank you so much for welcoming our daughter into the fold. It means the world to have a safe space to be who she is, be accepted for who she is, and to get a chance to shine. You have provided those opportunities and then some. Not sure you realize how absolutely monumental that award was for her. She has spent her life feeling on the outside, so to finally get a moment of recognition is tremendous. Cannot thank you enough. She will be back! Thank you for providing these kids a home to return to.
2024 LITTLE MERMAID - I want to thank you and Willie again for providing another amazing experience for our son. Being a part of the TAG community has been incredibly rewarding and has done wonders for his confidence.
2024 GREASE - I know I will say so much more later, but I will probably just be crying. But first off, thank you. I had some challenges finding real friends who cared about me and the things that I loved, and I never really felt like I belonged anywhere, until I came to TAG. All of the things that I loved were in one place. I can’t express my gratitude for how much you all have made me a better performer. You helped me find my voice on and off the stage. I have been given some of the best memories and the best friends I could have ever asked for. I never thought that one place, and one group of people could make me so happy, but TAG did. This show and all of the other ones I have done have brought me so much happiness, as well as you guys. I don’t want to yap too much, so I will try to wrap this up. Lynn, you have always been one of the most caring and welcoming souls to me, and now that I know you better, those words are the biggest understatements. Thank you for always making me feel loved at TAG. Tricia, thank you for helping me grow to be a performer I never thought I would or could be. I can’t imagine how I would have gotten through these past three years without you. Thank you. Willie, you have given me a home away from home. You believed in me when not many people did, and that meant the world to me. Thank you for blessing my life with your kindness and my TAG family. Thank you all for giving me the best times of my life. I will sure be back, you’re not getting rid of me!! 💕XOXOXO - Amelia
2024 GREASE - On the day of Julie’s last performance with TAG, I want to thank Willie, you, and the entire team for three wonderful years and nine fantastic shows. I’ve seen so much growth in the areas of confidence, maturity, self-awareness, responsibility, compassion …and the list goes on and on. I’ve also witnessed Julianna form special bonds with her fellow “theater kids” and have had to play chauffeur to getting her to bat mitzvahs, parties, and other meetups through the years. 😊 As a parent, it always brings me joy to watch the performance, but I already know Julie can sing. Her and Vanessa sing and dance all day long, everyday, but how many teenagers get to learn it’s “not just about them”? I wish all teens had to take a theater/acting class. Lol. Theater has given that to her, and I know that these strengthened characteristics and lessons will stay with her beyond. So again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Warm Regards, Elaine Marin
2024 GREASE I just wanted to thank you, Willie and everyone at TAG for providing such a supportive, inclusive and amazing experience for Hudson. His confidence is soaring, and man did he have fun. We can’t wait for the next one! With endless gratitude, Ashley
2024 GREASE - How we just absolutely loved this show! When I said, one more to go..it was in anticipation to see my little Patty during the last performance! 🥰🥰. We enjoyed it that much!! Freddy my love has been playing on repeat in my head.. :) The cast was phenomenal.. talent in every part.. Bravo to all of you, for all you do for our kids. TAG is just what our family needed, a second family filled with love, kindness and amazing friendships for the kids and parents. Thank you, thank you... for embracing our little girl. Theatre is our special place. As parents believe me when I say, I would drive a million miles for her to experience the happiness, love and support she feels when she is with the TAG family! Love you all, Fran
2024 GREASE Lynn and Willie- (and TAG team) Again, we cannot thank you enough for Jack’s amazing summer. You all are truly a blessing in so many ways. Jack is excited to join up next summer for “Rotten” and offer his support backstage for others. He may have arrived here late in TAG age, but he found you right when he needed you most. You never know how a little act of kindness and believing in someone can change the trajectory of their life, but this certainly already did. Thank you-Chris
2024 MEAN GIRLS - I mean come on! The 8 pm show last night was just crazy unbelievable. Beyond words with that cast. Best overall performance I think I’ve had the privilege of watching yet. So proud of my girl and the cast and crew. Absolutely smashed it. Can’t wait for Grease! It will be a bittersweet farewell. Rest up this weekend 😉Donna - TAG Mom
2024 Congratulations on another INCREDIBLE show! We are still all singing "Your welcome!" in our house:) It was a wonderful 6 shows filled with incredible talent, scenery and songs. I want to thank you all for continuing to build Chloe's confidence, for allowing her to be her true authentic self and for encouraging her to be her best with her passions of acting, dancing and singing. You all know how far she's come from the girl who wouldn't sing for you and wouldn't go to practice without me. Now she carpools with me not even driving her and wakes up super excited on practice days. Some insecurities started creeping in her head at the beginning of this show but she quickly moved past them thanks to all of you! Winning the Rising Star Award was a DREAM COME TRUE for Chloe! Thank you for giving it to her, you have no idea how much receiving this has boosted her confidence. Willie, your words about Chloe made all her family and friends cry happy tears and this mama sob like a baby because I never thought I'd hear those words for Chloe during some of the challenging times early on. We are truly so appreciative that you recognize how far she's come. Tricia, your singing lessons with Chloe have gotten her to where she is today. Never did I think this child would sing on stage, let alone some solo lines, years ago. She loves every minute with you. Matthew, I can't get over this was your first TAG production. Absolutely incredible. Chloe loved you from the minute she met you and can't wait to do another show with you. Lynn, you are Chloe's biggest cheerleader, always telling us how much you love watching her perform, it means so much to us. And I love your emails :) Thank you from the bottom of this mama's heart! Love you all! ~ Julie
2024 We are immensely grateful for the incredible opportunity you provided our daughter Madison to shine as Young Moana. The experience has been transformative for her, allowing her to grow in confidence and be strong enough to perform in the spotlight on center stage. Seeing her light up with self-assurance, joy, poise and pride has been a priceless gift for our family. Thank you giving her a platform to explore her passion for performing arts. The memories and skills she has gained will undoubtedly stay with her for a lifetime. Willie Wilson’s Theatre Arts Group has been an extraordinary experience for the Ermann family. The unwavering encouragement and support from everyone involved have created an environment where our shy little girl could blossom and shine. My wife Melissa and I are deeply grateful for the positive impact TAG has had on Madison’s life and ours. The sense of community and belonging you have fostered is truly remarkable. Thank you for providing love, kindness and a space where creativity thrives and for believing in the potential of each child. Your commitment to the arts and to nurturing young talent has made a lasting difference in our lives, and we cannot thank you enough. You guys are all so awesome! Thank you, thank you, thank you, TAG Dad - Ken
2024 You probably hear this a lot but honestly ALL SHOWS WERE AMAZING!!! I want to thank you and Willie for doing this for all the kids. They do shine on stage and you give them so much confidence. My Ava definitely found her passion for theater thanks to you. She says she will be there until she ages out. We are so proud of her getting the award however, with all the emotions we forgot what the meaning of the award is 😂 I'm sharing this picture because I love how Ava is looking at Willie with so much gratitude ❤️Thank you again for everything. TAG Mom - Natalia
2024 Thank you for another wonderful play experience for Charlie! All your care and dedication made it the most spectacular show week for the kids 💖 Charlie said last night was the best night ever!!!! So glad Willie and Jeff finally got to reunite, they are so inspiring in what they’ve overcome to put out positivity in the world ❣️TAG parents - Christina & Justin
2024 I want to thank each of you for all you did to make Moana such a wonderful experience for the kids. The performances were fantastic in so many ways and truly entertained us again and again😊 Paulina had such a blast being part of this show and getting to know so many new friends! When I first called to book Moana, Willie had told me that TAG’s culture is what he is most proud of, and I can definitely see why. It really stood out to me how happy the kids seem to be and it especially touched my heart to see how genuinely excited they are for one another. We were blown away by Paulina being selected as a recipient of the Nick Bushey award, along with all the kindness and support she was shown! Thank you for creating this positive environment where Paulina can continue practicing what she loves most. It means so much to see all of her hard work and dedication being noticed & recognized. She can’t wait for The Little Mermaid this summer! TAG Mom - Maura
2024 Hello! My son Owen has been in a couple of shows with you all (Elf! and Into the Woods) in the past few months. I wanted to reach out and tell you that he was cast as one of the leads (Charlie) in his elementary schools performance of Willy Wonka. I really just wanted to reach out and say thank you to you all! My wife and I cannot believe his confidence and poise being on stage. He really loves performing and we have you and everyone at Willie Wilson to thank. Please pass our thanks on to Willie as I don't have his contact information.Again thank you so much and see you in the summer!
2023 From a grateful theatre kid - Oh my goodness. what an awesome show guys! i am so, so, so proud of everyone who made this show great. i am so glad i got to work with this cast and staff. you guys made me feel like i belong somewhere, and that i actually am worth something and deserve love. in the past year and a half i have made some of the realest, amazing, hilarious, and talented friends because of theater. i really hope you guys understand how grateful i am for you, and how important you all are on this journey for me. to the people who aged out, there were definitely tears. i cannot wait to see what the future holds for you guys. thank you for making this show so special. I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU! 💕
Into the Woods 2023 - Wow, time slips by too fast!! I realize ELF tapes are past due (yikes) and I have yet to reach out to you to say THANK YOU to you, Willie and all the staff and crew for Into The Woods! What a fantastic show and so much fun to watch!! Brody had such an incredible experience and truly enjoyed working on it with all of the cast and crew!! Maddie did such an incredible job directing- just wow! And please know, the delay in sending this thank you email is in no way reflective of how much we loved having him a part of the cast and overall experience ...we just had too many things going on outside of the show the past 2 weeks for me to find a moment to pull my thoughts together. Thank you for all you do, especially for creating such a warm, positive environment where our kids can grow and shine! All the best - Tara
Into the Woods 2023 - In 2019, my life changed when my love for theatre began when I joined TAG. Somehow, I’m 15 and writing a note to my director of 4 years as I age-out. TAG was the thing that kept me going. You believed in me and that eventually led to me being able to believe in myself. You are truly one of the greatest directors because you encourage and lift us up. Not many people are like you. You changed and continue to change so many lives. I know this because I am one of them. I can’t thank you enough for these 4 years. Much love, Emersen
Sound of Music 2023 Wow what a night?! Dreams came true this show! Had the time of her life in a dream role. This movie has been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl, so, so lovely to see my daughter in the role of Maria. Years ago when I would describe Amelia as a little girl to other people I would use the words: flibbertygibbet, willow-a-whisp, a clown, and here she is. Talk about manifesting!
Always hard to believe a show like this can be done in under 3 weeks, but TAG staff and these talented kids did it! More often than not at the end of a day she would talk about how great the counselors were, or something amazing one of the kids did, and how funny and nice everyone is. She was on Cloud 9 last night as we drove home because after a rough year on the social front with some “mean girls”, she was so happy to be back with these people that “see” her and accept her just as she is. BRAVO to the Sound of Music cast and crew!
Sound of Music 2023 Thank you for an incredible set of shows this week! My Cece has grown so much since her last performance in Annie. Your program and training is spectacular! I am in awe of the confidence that she has now. She is so committed to your program that we are all in for Sponge Bob, Into the Woods, and Elf! Her brother Matt (9) is also trying theater for the first time in Sponge Bob. I am sorry for your loss but know that you did your Aunt proud last night ! A million thank you’s! Celines Sims (Cece’s mom)
SOUND of MUSIC 2023 Lynn, Willie and Tricia! Wanted to send you all a special and huge thank you for yet another great show. This is Roxy’s third show and is truly the highlight of her summer. You all lead with such passion for the arts and the children!! Thanks again and hope you have a minute to breathe and basque in what you’ve all achieved. Much love, Alia (Roxy’s mom)
SOUND of MUSIC 2023 - To Willie and Lynn, I didn’t get the chance to speak to you after the show on Friday, but I just wanted to thank you for putting together another amazing show! One of our favorites so far! We took a photo of the Anna Schneider award winners. In the words of Sofie, “the only thing better than winning the Anna Schneider award is winning it with my theatre bestie” ❤️Thank you for instilling a love of theatre in our kids! Janelle Sinno
I think I have finally recovered from the excitement of the weekend that I am able to write you. Wow. What a journey. While we have been fans of Willie for many years, and audience members for several TAG shows, Descendants was our 3rd production as part of the TAG “family.” It was our first experience with a show during the school year, and although I was uncertain about how he would handle the experience, but Christian was determined to be in this show.
This has been a difficult year for him. For the first time, he has faced some challenges with school and has also dealt with some classmates who have been less than kind to him. But we ALL persevered. And what an incredible outcome!
I often watched Christian walk into rehearsal, with his head low after a difficult day… and walk out with his head held high, feeling energized, included. Important and inspired.
Thank you for what you have done for my boy. Seeing him shine on stage, so happy and fulfilled has been such a joy. And for the first time, I think I felt the true essence of what it means to be a TAG parent, because now that we have done a few shows— I have come to see many familiar faces on stage. It is such a pleasure to watch ALL these kids grow into their roles and find their light on that stage. There is such a feeling of love and pride in being a part of this theatre company and we are forever grateful for the wonderful work that you all do to create this community. Thank you. Jen Holmes
2023 THE DESCENDANTS WOW- Just WOW! Such an incredibly positive experience Brody had! I have never seen him so excited and happy as he was working on this show- especially Thurs and Fri! Needless to say, today was packed with a LOT of emotion. You are definitely 'doing it right' for the kids to be so sad it's over. Thank you ALL so much for this gift of theater!! So now he's thinking - what's next? After speaking with him today, he would absolutely rather skip our trip to COLORADO to have the opportunity to do Sound of Music next month. And as for fall/winter - he absolutely is IN! Kind regards - Tara
2023 THE DESCENDANTS I am hoping you and Willie had some time to relax over the holiday weekend and focus on all the positives that happened on the 25th and 26th with the Descendants shows. I can not express to you enough how elated and sad Lilah has been. Elated to have been part of such a production and incredibly sad that it is over! I told her to sit tight, Sound of Music will be here before we know it. Honestly, from the staff to the students who take part, it was a wonderful experience for us and for Lilah. Then the icing on the cake was getting to watch them all at the cast party. What a great group of kids- so kind and supportive of one another. It is nice to see that. Thank you again! Trish Kramer
2022 BEAUTY & THE BEAST Thank you to the TAG Beauty and the Beast team for making our daughter Sasha’s first experience with you amazing!! Your team provided a place for her to go that allowed her to be herself, feel supported and to be accepted. It was amazing to see her succeed in something very special like Beauty and The Beast. It was as Sasha said, “life changing.” We can’t wait to do another production. The TAG team is simply the best. Brigid Scire
2022 FOOTLOOSE Just to let you know this was the best performance I have seen Sofia Wilkins in yet! It was spectacular all the way down to the mix of ages of kids. Those little ones were incredible. Charyl Wilkins, her grandmother :)
2022 FOOTLOOSE To the Staff of TAG, Thank you for the hard work you did to make Footloose an amazing show and to do the impossible task of rescheduling. We had an amazing experience and Cate is already talking about doing the next show! She said she made so many friends which is what we hope for! We can’t do the fall/winter shows but will be back for the Sound of Music. Have a great year and we hope to come and support!! Thank you, Cate and the Davis Family
2022 FOOTLOOSE So when Ray woke up and walked into the kitchen this morning, he looked 6 inches taller. We can’t tell if it’s because he’s standing so much prouder and taller or if his feet are floating off the ground. I can’t tell you how much it meant to him and to our whole family that he received that award last night. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
The confidence Ray has gotten from all the love he receives from the Wilson family and your extended family of counselors has transformed him. Last night is going in the Dee Family Book of Freaking Awesome Moments! Can’t wait for Beauty and the Beast, and Annie, and Descendants, and Sound of Music, and, and …. Jen Dee
2022 FOOTLOOSE - Lynn and Willie, Thank you both for another magical night. I’m just so thrilled we found this program. It has done wonders for Julianna’s confidence. Our family is so impressed that Julie has shown such growth only having been a part of the program for such a short time. We are sad we won’t be around for “Beauty and the Beast”, but we are looking forward to the fall production of “Annie”, and if you all can handle a very energetic and spirited 8 year old, Vanessa will be joining for “Descendants”. Enjoy the rest of your summer! Elaine and family
2022 ALADDIN I can’t thank you, Willie, Tricia and all the counselors for the unbelievable experience you gave Ray. Through your loving support, he has grown so much a person; we have seen his confidence and maturity blossom exponentially during Aladdin. Thank you!!! Jen Dee
2022 ALADDIN - I have to especially thank you and Willie for recognizing Bennett as RISING STAR. I don’t know if you saw his face when Willie announced his name, but he was truly shocked and proud and touched all at once. This program has been the biggest blessing for my kids - they absolutely LOVE it. But especially for Bennett, who isn’t a “sports kid” and doesn’t get a chance to “win” a ton… that award was everything. You have created a home for him - a community where he can be himself and shine! And, as his mother, I am nothing less than eternally grateful for that. And Eliza is motivated to step up her game even more, in pursuit of earning the same honor. :) Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for the beautiful experience you create for these kids! Can’t wait for Beauty and the Beast!!
2022 ALADDIN Wow, what a show! All four shows were amazing. Our guests were blown away by each performance! They felt like they were at Broadway! Bravo to you all! My daughter doesn't have a great voice but you saw what she can do, and added that into the show, so she felt like a star. She LOVED doing flips on stage and having a sassy line! She is so proud of herself and has not stopped talking about her experience. Everybody in our family, her therapist and her teachers notice a positive change in her and it's all attributed to you. Thank you for everything. While it might be just one play to many, to our family, you helped us in more ways than you could ever imagine. You helped us to see that our daughter can find ways to cope with anxiety without medicine. There is NO better gift to parents. My husband almost fell over when the first words out of her mouth was, "Can you sign me up for another play?" You are changing lives, Willie, the children’s lives and their families. We appreciate you all! Such an amazing show, BRAVO! Love, ALADDIN parents
2022 ALADDIN We wanted to take the opportunity to thank Willie and yourself for allowing Xander to be a part of Aladdin. The show was amazing and the fact that you allowed my shy son to shine made my heart swell with pride. It takes Xander awhile to warm up to people, and it’s so refreshing to have him in an atmosphere of kindness and belonging. We are super excited for Footloose. Thank you so much for the work you do to mentor young stars. With much gratitude, Betty and Mark LaPilusa
2022 ALADDIN Just wanted to send a quick note to say thank you for another great show. Finding your program has truly been a meaningful experience for Emmy. It has afforded her confidence, friends, fun, bonding, love and so much more. Watching the kids all perform with the love of theater like they have is a true testament to how wonderful your program is. Thank you again. Like last year, Emmy will be off for the summer but will be your first sign up for the fall! Please extend my gratitude for all your entire team's hard work! Alessa Laraia
2022 ALADDIN Wow! Can only say we were blown away by the talented kids in both casts! (Our older daughter was in tears after the first show on Friday. This was a dream come true for Amelia. She has been waiting to be in a production like this since she was a toddler and went to her 1st SAS show. She absolutely loved every minute of it! Watching her on stage was well worth all of the long rides to and from Westwood each week for mom. 😄 Thank you to everyone at TAG who had the confidence in her to nail the Jafar role (and she did!). Willie’s faith in her, helped build her faith in herself. As I said to you when we first spoke in the fall, I just wanted her to do something with people who loved what she loves. Mission Accomplished!! Thank you to everyone at TAG. She is hooked and is already making a list of the shows she wants to come back for after summer! See you in August! Donna Mallory
2022 From a proud TAG mom - I just have to share this amazing news. Katie received a FULL four-year college scholarship WITH expenses! Thank you and musical theater camp for being such an important part of our lives. This is a truly life-changing opportunity and special people like you, Willie, have had a huge impact on Katie becoming the confident woman she is. You will be amazed to see the transformation of the shy 7-year-old to the 17-year-old you will see onstage Saturday. Thank you, Willie. Paula Tenebrusco
2022 SHREK “Dear Willie, Thank you for helping me in drama. You’ve made me want to sing louder than I want to. I’m not scared anymore of singing in front of strangers. Thanks alot! From Margaret”
2022 SHREK - Our three daughter’s Keira, Cassidy and Chloe Lent just completed Shrek, musical theatre, for West Nyack Elementary with Willie and crew. This was all three of their first time ever performing and what an incredible experience they all had! My husband and I are so impressed with the entire crew, the process and how each of our girls confidence soared throughout.
Keira and Chloe did not want to do this at first. Both had very bad anxiety about it. Chloe would not even sing at the audition and was giving me a hard time going at first. And then we saw a huge shift in both of them. They were happy to go, looked forward to every Monday and both felt Willies love right away. They could tell that all he cared was that they were happy and they didn’t need to be perfect. They both needed that reassurance and he didn’t even realize it. He was just being himself and they picked up on his acceptance, kind heart and patience, incredible!
Cassidy was all in from then beginning but worried she would forget her lines. Not only did she remember her lines, she said them confidently and proudly and now knows that she can do anything she sets her heart out to do. We couldn’t believe how fast she memorized her lines. She wanted to because of the love and care of Willie and his crew. It was a safe place for her to take risks and try something that may be hard for her. Brings tears to our eyes how natural it came to her when that’s not always the case for her.
Chloe actually asked to do the Aladdin play and we almost fell over. She did her audition video in one take, was herself and said, “Send it mommy!” Not one hesitation. Going from not signing the first audition to this is amazing. She experiences anxiety, so this is all HUGE. Keira is upset Aladdin conflicts with soccer. Our sporty girl now loves theatre too. We never thought we would see the day! She thanked us for “making her do the play” because she had so much fun and admitted that we actually do know best. We want that in writing 😉
I’m sorry for the long email but I wanted Willie and his crew to know that their hard work, love and commitment to our kids went way, way, way beyond just putting on a show. While the show was absolutely amazing and incredible, my three girls lives were touched in ways that will positively help mold their lives forever. Thank you from our whole hearts. We will see you all soon for Aladdin. With love and gratitude, Julie and Chris Lent
2022 MATILDA I was so inspired by the kids I just paid a trifecta deposit for Alladin, Footloose, and Beauty and the Beast! And I think I may have paid for Alladin twice! Ha! If Ray is already signed up for Alladin please apply the $200 to our balance. Thanks so much, Jen
2022 MATILDA Thank you to you and everyone else for such a wonderful experience. Nora loved every moment she was at TAG, musical theatre camp. Since she joined, she is always singing and dancing around the house. She also loved every moment on stage. She lives for it!!! She can't wait to start Alladin!
2022 MATILDA - A HUGE thank you to you, Willie and all of the staff and counselors at TAG, summer theatre camp. Bennett and Eliza had an absolute blast performing last week. And the shows were fantastic! As first-timers, we were beyond impressed with the level of performance you got out of these kids. And, again, they had the best time throughout the whole process. So thank you!
2022 MATILDA What an amazing couple of nights. Thank you for all you guys have done for my Emmy! She loves it and being a part of this musical theatre camp has made a huge difference in her sense of self, confidence and independence. Watching her on stage made my heart explode!! Thank you, thank you. See you for Aladdin!! Alessa L.
2022 MATILDA We were introduced to your program by our neighbors (Bennett and Eliza). We were at the 6pm show last night for MATILDA. Our son, Ben (11 years old) said it was better than WICKED on Broadway. My daughter Sarah, asked to give musical theatre camp a try, so why not. You never know until you try. Look forward to meeting you in person soon. Mendy
2022 MATILDA Yesterday was just amazing! The production was phenomenal! I can’t even believe all that was pulled together in the midst of this crazy fall/winter! I just wanted to let you know how special the musical theatre experience and that award was for Julie. She had 10 family members in attendance at the 8:00 show and they all just keep texting me how great it was and how glad they were to be there. Also, between you and me, it was really heartwarming because in the car to the theater for her call time, we were talking about the experience. She said it was really so much fun but she didn't think she was a very good actress. I started to lecture her about "practice, experience, time, and giving herself some grace". She rolled her eyes at me, of course. I think winning that award was just what she needed. 😊 Thanks again! Can’t wait for Aladdin! Elaine
2021 A CHORUS LINE was freaking mind blowing! Seriously. I can’t wait to watch this again and again and again and again and again. Love you guys and thank you for this musical theater camp and for everything. XO Julie and Jim N.
2021 Mamma Mia - What a credit to you two!! So many things to send to us and remind us!! You’re appreciated! Today is TAG musical theatre camp withdrawal day in our house. Maddie is going to miss camp and is super sad Mamma Mia is over. She keeps saying she can’t believe it’s really over! My mom keeps crying saying she’ll never forget these shows. Such a great experience and I’m grateful to you all for making my newbie feel like she’s been there for years! All the best to a well-deserved break! Tara
2021 Mamma Mia - Hi Lynn and Willie, I know my Mom emailed you earlier but I wanted to reach out to say thank you. This summer was truly the best experience I have had. Mamma Mia will forever be the best session I have done. I made so many friends and got closer to older ones. The camp is just so special. I have tears in my eyes writing this email because I am so, so grateful for you guys and the campers. I always look forward to a day at camp, because I know that I will feel loved and accepted there. I am absolutely honored to be the MVP. I feel like we all deserve the MVP. As Willie always says, we are a TEAM!! Thank you guys for everything this summer. I will always cherish the memories I made this summer. Love you all! Emersen Armida
2021 - Mamma Mia! Dear Willie, Lynn and the whole TAG team, BRAVO for an amazing show. Laughed, danced and enjoyed this awesome production from the beginning to the end. I am truly in love with TAG. Thank you. The Procino Family
2021 - My girls have officially caught the theater bug! I wanted to thank you for such a wonderful experience and extend a special thank you for recognizing Leighton with the Rising Star award! Her response was priceless on stage! Olive and Leighton have decided to give up competition dance for the year just to do your shows (the practice day conflicted with our dance classes so they had to make a hard decision.) They are studying all the lines of "Naughty" and performing it with all the choreography done by the original cast! The Matilda musical is a family favorite of ours - LOL! You guys will have some tough casting decisions in the fall after you see these auditions- they are determined to wow Willie and become Matilda! Please let me know ASAP when we can sign up for the show. We do not want to miss this opportunity! Sincerely, Brianna Schryver - 1st time TAG parent
2021 - Hi Lynn! Just a reminder that he will be absent on Friday and Monday. Also, we are SOOOOOO happy that we signed him up for this camp. After a difficult year, he has been our happy, dancing, singing boy again and it is all because of TAG :) Jennine
2021 - Thank you so much for taking such good care of our kiddos over the past two days! My girls are super excited about camp! They are loving all the big kids and are already referring to them as their friends! From the second they walked into the room on the first day, everyone has been so welcoming and kind! So THANK YOU, for letting us experience the Willie Wilson Theater Camp, I think you very well may have some "lifers" on your hands! Sincerely, Brianna S.
2021 - Ariana would really like to come to camp on Monday. She is truly having the time of her life. Thank you for that. So we are going to adjust our weekend plans so Ariana will be there on Monday. - A TAG mom rearranging family plans :)
I wanted to thank you both and TAG for making it possible for Shane to truly shine. The support and love that he feels when he is with you is amazing and since joining TAG, he has been signed with a talent agency and started auditions. Thank you again for keeping this going. Melissa Denino - FROZEN 2021
Dear Willie, Lynn, Tricia and all who put together a beautiful production, I just wanted to reach out to you to tell you how meaningful and beautiful the experience of being a part of Frozen was for Emmy. Making her new theater friends, feeling a part of something bigger, feeling comfortable in her own skin, confident and lifted up by those around her, looking up to the older kids and their talents, learning so much about theater and being given the responsibility for lines, singing, cues, etc... the list of how and why this was the most positive thing she has been a part of to date goes on. Throughout the months of practice, she grew as a young girl in so many ways. She often told me of little things that happened at practice. She told me about how the older kids took her under their wing and made her feel a part of everything and loved her. She told me she when gained a new line or two, she told me about the dances she learned. I was so happy for her to see how happy she's been. But, nothing could prepare me for when the curtains opened on Wednesday... To see Emmy up there, beaming with pride, knowing all her lines, dances, cues...comfortable in front of a big crowd... My heart swelled with pride and I cried tears of happiness through the first performance. (And every time after that she danced across the stage saying "it's Coronation Day, oh joy!") To say thank you for all of your hard work, guidance and patience is an understatement and I hope this email illustrates my appreciation for all you've given to Emmy over these past few months. Separately, I just wanted to let you know that I've worked with children for many years and I have seen many children’s' productions put on by other theater companies for a few reasons. Willie Wilson is by far the most professional, well-rehearsed and impressive production company I have seen. Thank you, thank you. Emmy cannot be a part of anything in the summer as we have commitments otherwise but any production you'll be putting on during the school year, she would absolutely LOVE to be a part of. She keeps saying..."I'm so sad to not see my Frozen friends...BUT I will be back in the fall!" And she will be. Thank you again. Have a wonderful and relaxing weekend. You've earned it! Alessa Laraia, Emmy's Mom
2021 FROZEN - From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for a wonderful experience for Elanya! She came home on Tuesday night quiet and introspective and after probing, it came out that she was VERY sad that this experience was over. She loved everything - her cast members, the singing and dancing on stage, and all of you - as she couldn’t point to one thing she loved most!! Thank you for taking her young self into this production. She is so excited to come back in the fall. Thank you again for letting our little girl shine! Dareen & Elias Amireh
“hi! so this is probably weird but.... in 2016 you directed a production of Shrek the Musical in Rockland and um that was my first musical and it was the greatest thing that had ever happened to me um and that started my career i guess and i just wanna say that without that experience i wouldn’t be an all- county chorus with broadway recommendation nomineee so... thank you!!!!” From a grateful student now making it in show biz.
“Hey you two, When Em told me she was going to make a GET WELL video, I wasn’t surprised. Ever since she heard Willie speak for the first time at Link, she was hooked and her love for drama and the arts grew. As her Dad said, we’re so grateful for this incredible family you all have created. She has grown so much and I’m as always beyond proud of my girl. I often wonder what I did to deserve such a great kid; she’s a true blessing! Thank you for everything you do to nurture her true love for drama. She comes home beaming, giggling, and talking about it every evening. That email and words is everything. Love you guys!” Parents/Jenn & Gary Armida
2020 LEGALLY BLONDE - “Dear Willie & Lynn, Where there is a WILL, there’s a way and a Willie and a Lynn! Soooo happy for you and our children! Louis is walking on air, listening to Legally Blonde soundtrack ever since you told us, “he’s in!” Bless you! Cheers to you, Viena” - a camper’s mom
“I have to tell you, our girls’ relationship with each other has been very positively affected by TAG. They love each other, and though they look a lot alike, in many ways they are different, and have often been at odds with each other growing up. I think Footloose was a turning point (the second time they did it), where Sophia expressly articulated (to my mom in a letter) that TAG has brought Abby and her closer together. The mutual experiences and mutual friends have done wonders for their sisterly bond. Of course they can still fight, but it has definitely evolved for the better.” Mother - Stacey
“Before the end of camp gets too far behind us, I want to express my thanks. Thanks to you and Willie for what you gave our family this summer. The girls had an amazing experience. It was safe, it was educational for them, and they had fun!
We all know things could have gone the other way. i.e., no camp this year. And that would have been completely understandable. Looking back to early June, things were still up in the air. I was feeling sad, admittedly, because I knew there would be a let-down for my girls. What turned out was quite the opposite. Sophia got valuable experience, and she grew a lot. Abby was in her prime, immersed in the things and with people she loves. It was a summer to remember. And it was safe. I know it was a ton of work to pull this off. My deepest thanks, to both of you, for all you did to make it happen!” Father - Bob
2020 LITTLE MERMAID - “Willie & Lynn - Emersen had, once again the time of her life! She’s always comfortable, always herself, always loved, and forever has her TAG family. As I’ve said before Emersen has been “changed for the better“ because of Willie. I’m so eternally grateful. We love you and will see you in October and next summer. Well done keeping the kids safe and as always fulfilled; I wouldn’t have trusted anyone else.” Mother - Jenn Armida
“This was Katie’s first time at your camp and it was one of the best decisions we have made for her!! Thank you for giving her what she calls the Best Summer of her life!!!!” - Mom, Amy Gunther
2020 - “Thank you so much for everything! This summer flew by thanks to your creativity, dedication and willingness to move forward. I told Maddie she’s one of the few whose summer plans/camps didn’t get cancelled and we are so grateful for that! Looking forward to the drive-in movies to see the final product! So exciting! P.S. the Mamma Mia soundtrack has been playing non-stop since Friday afternoon haha! She’s already preparing for next summer’s shows. I love it! You’ve got a great thing going for these kids. Happy 20th year and many more years of success to you!” - Parents, Chris & Marie Heinimann
“Mr. Wilson’s T.A.G program is the P.S.O.’s biggest fundraiser.” – Felicia Brockner
“The children in your program walk a little taller and are quicker to raise their hands in class.” – Principal Ray Gonzalez
